Q-Vent: data and accounting migration from SAP Business One to Odoo

The client

Q-Vent (q-vent.com) is a Bulgarian engineering company that develops and manufactures rainscreen rear-ventilated facade systems for external claddings. The company had run SAP Business One for years. As the company grew, licence and customisation costs and the limits of the system made a more flexible platform necessary.

The challenge

Move partners, products, stock, open documents and accounting balances from SAP Business One into Odoo so that accounting continues without interruption within the reporting period, while historical data stays available for reporting.

The solution

Global One mapped the SAP data structures, prepared transformation rules and ran the migration in stages with test loads reconciled by the accounting team. Odoo was configured with the Bulgarian localisation, VAT ledgers and the company’s own chart of accounts, and users were trained before go-live.

The result

Q-Vent now works entirely in Odoo, with full document and balance history, lower yearly costs and a system the team can extend itself.
