Yubico is a Swedish-American company founded in 2007. The YubiKey is a small hardware key (USB-A, USB-C, NFC) that confirms the user’s identity when signing in to Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, VPNs, password managers and hundreds of other services.
Unlike SMS or app codes, a hardware key cannot be captured by phishing, which makes it the method recommended by regulators and insurers for protecting administrative and financial access.
